Bible Correspondence Courses
The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry offers a series of Bible correspondence courses free of charge to inmates. The course consists of 136 lessons that take the inmate through most of the New Testament. Upon completion of each of the twelve units the student is given a certificate. After all 136 lessons have been completed the student takes an “open-book” comprehensive final examination. When all is done the student receives a diploma and an award Bible. Many inmates desire to complete at least a few of these courses. These courses not only provide the student with a basic education in the New Testament, they also provide many with the first real accomplishment in their life. It is wonderful to see the look on an inmate’s face when he is awarded these certificates in front of his peers.
